I actually quite enjoyed the itemish song "Ayya Ayya". Karthik crooned "Okka Life" really well. I liked the composition and lyrics for this song. I am conflicted about "Nuvvemichavo". I liked the composition but I could not tell if Vijay Prakash has given his 100% or not. Another amazing song is "Podham". I like the tempo, the mood. This song reminded me of Pharrell Williams' "Happy", same type of happy mood inflected by this song. Haricharan exceled in this song. The pitch and pace was perfect for his voice. I took a double take to find out that "Geetha Madhuri" sang "Door No Okati". I am all about diversifying your talents, so I applaud her for this rendition. The lyrics are very restrained and I quite enjoyed this energetic item song. Eppudu is another beautifully composed song. Karthik's voice is godly in this song. I quite liked the instrumentation. I am slightly disappointed that Gopi Sundar did not sing any song in album. He is a good singer, as you may know. He sang all these songs.
I have to take a minute and applaud the "guru-sishya" jodi Sirivennela SeetaRama Sastry and Ramajogayya Sastry for writing really inspiring and fitting lyrics. The repeat value for songs mainly comes from meaningful words.
I am struggling to pick a favorite. "Podham", "Eppudu", "Ayya Ayya", and "Okka Life" stand out . All in all, quite entertaining album. This is one of the rare movies where the music is making me want to watch the movie! That does not happen very much. I restrict myself to the music mostly and rarely watch any movies. That the movie has Nagarjuna, Karthi, and Tamannah has nothing to do with me wanting to watch the movie, I promise! :)
