"Kaav Kaav" was a groovy song. It caught me by surprise and for that reason, I thoroughly enjoyed the song. The interesting mix of "peta rap" and modern hip made for an interesting listen. Third song by Abhay Jodhpurkar and I am warming up to him. Haricharan and Abhay crooned the song well. "Kotha Kadhale" was handled well and just when I was getting excited to hear more of it, the song ended. So that left me wanting for the song to last a little longer. Ramya Behara and Abhay did an amazing job with "Yegirenay" song. The song had a nice flow to it and was dripping with sweetness. I liked the no-nonsense beginning of the song. "Sarihaddu Lopala" is a hard pill to digest. I am not sure if it is meant to be a heart ache song or love song or an issue based song. It was hard to get a read. "Dhruvam Dhruvam", performed by Karthik is an out and out issue-based song. I think Sri Krishna sang the few lines at the beginning of the song. His diction was perfect.
The lyricists, Shashi Jyothsna, Srimani, and Dr. Ramalinga Sharma did an able job with the lyrics. Especially, the lyrics for "Yegirenay" song are really nice.
All in all, a soulful album. Yegirenay and "Kaav Kaav" stand out to me. Do give it a listen.
In case you are wondering how the three albums he composed compare amongst themselves, I rate "A Aa" at the top, followed by "Okka Ammayi Thappa" and finally "Brahmotsavam". Something tells me the public receipt of the albums will not be in that order. Although, I am thoroughly enjoying the lack of the so-called "item songs".
